Nivea Hamilton (born March 24, 1982),[1] who performs under the mononym Nivea, is an American recording artist whose recordings reached the Billboard charts during the early 2000s.

Biography

Nivea Hamilton, [2] was born in Atlanta, Georgia. The youngest of three sisters, Nivea as a youngster joined her church choir. As a little girl, Nivea recalled watching the upcoming singer Mariah Carey performing 'Vision of Love' on The Arsenio Hall show. "The way she projected her voice, she just had so much power. I knew then that I wanted to make people feel the way she made me feel. I bought all her albums and learned all the songs. That's all I would do all day long--sing Mariah Carey songs, " says Nivea. [3] Nivea Hamilton was married to Terius Hagert Youngdell Nash also known as “The Dream” from 2004 till 2007 and had their daughter in 2005 and twins boys in 2006. Nash says, "I decided to end it because I didn't want to take this person [Nivea] and treat them a certain way based off of what I was changing into, based off of being bitter." [4]
