Описание: Лондонское трио now было создано в 1998 году Джастином Пэтоном (Justin Paton). Основной идеей было собрать стилистически раскованных мульти-инструменталистов, которые могли бы находить нестандартные пути сочетания синтезаторов, драм машин, перкуссии и классических инструментов.
Состав группы:
Анджела Ласт (Angela Last) – вокал, бас-гитара, синтезаторы, перкуссия.
Джордж Кризостому (George Chrysostomou) – аккордеон, гитара, клавишные.
Джастин Пэтон (Justin Paton) – вокал, гитара, синтезаторы, перкуссия.
Ещё до выпуска своего первого альбома в 2006 году, now успели поработать с такими музыкантами, как Дамо Сузуки (CAN): их совместный альбом вышел в 2007 году, Чарльз Хейвард (The Heat) и Каори Цутида (The Go! Team).
Также now делили сцену с Stereolab, Faust, Insides, Circle, Tunng, Psapp, Rothko, Plaid and A Hawk And A Hacksaw.
Now принимали участие в мероприятиях различного характера от open air фестивалей (Summer Sundae, Tapestry goes West) до камерных концертов в галереях, писали музыку для множества компиляций (например Albino Radio, Two of the Beatles have died, Pie Paper (NZ)) и выставок (например ‘Being Mammy’ by Harold Offeh). Now выступали в Норвегии и ездили в тур по Японии.
на счету группы более 50 альбомов, последний из которых “Goldstar Lavender Marriage” был выпущен на лейбле Mottomotto records.
Живые выступления now скользят от мелодичных песен в шумные зацикленные импровизации.

now was founded in 1998 by songwriter Justin Paton with the aim to bring together adventurous multi-instrumentalists who are as much in love with synthesisers, drum machines and electronics as they are with guitars, percussion and classical instruments.
The line-up consists of:
* Angela Last, who plays bass, synthesisers, percussion and sings.
* George Chrysostomou, who plays the accordion, guitar, piano & various keyboards.
* Justin Paton, who sings and plays guitar, electronics & percussion.
Before releasing their first album in 2006, now worked with underground musicians such as Can’s Damo Suzuki (a joint album was released in 2007), Charles Hayward (This Heat) & Kaori Tsuchida (The Go! Team).
They have also attracted support slots with bands such as Stereolab, Faust, Insides, Circle, Tunng, Psapp, Rothko, Plaid and A Hawk And A Hacksaw.
now have performed in a variety of venues and genres, from outdoor festivals (e.g. Summer Sundae, Tapestry goes West) to gallery based sound art.
now have also written commissioned music for many compilations (e.g. Albino Radio, Two of the Beatles have died, Pie Paper (NZ)) and exhibitions (e.g. Harold Offeh’s ‘Being Mammy’).
now have released over fifty albums, the latest entitled “Goldstar Lavender Marriage” on Mottomotto records.
Live, now move between melodic songs and energetic improvisation. The band has played inside and outside the UK, including Norway and a Japan tour in 2009 to promote their album ‘Ooodipooomn’, of which Plan B magazine wrote at the time:
"Pursuing their offbeat, off-kilter and occasionally off-the-wall mashup of lo-fidelity experimental pop music and uptempo kosmik grooves at the fringes of undergound and overground success, NOW continue to demonstrate the tireless heart of their being is something close to an unsung national treasure."
