Описание: Yana (Tkachuk) was born in Lutsk, Ukraine. She first began singing at family gatherings as a four year old. Singing and performing has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. Her first public performance was at the age of four. Her first art show was held at the age of thirteen. A dream of her family was to emigrate to the United States and make a life here; so at fifteen she moved, with her mother and father, to Sacramento, California. She had several successful performances in the Ukraine and was the Young Talent of the year in 2003. She also was the runner up in the National Ukrainian Singing Festival of 2003. Overall, Yana has performed in more than 100 concerts in the Ukraine.

In order for her family to realize their dream, Yana had to put her singing career on hold. However, since coming to Sacramento, she has performed several times, including four times at the state capital to celebrate the independence day of the Ukraine and Yarmarka for the past five years.
