Paul Mauriat was born in Marseille, 4 March 1925. The childhood it was expressed musical ability, and his father, who wanted to always be a musician himself, gives his son at the Marseilles Conservatory, which Paul has successfully graduated from the piano. The biggest personal success for Moriah became the melody «Chariot», written under the pseudonym Del Roma (Del Roma) together with their friends and colleagues - Franck Pourcel, helped make the arrangement and Raymond Lefebvre, who orchestrates a melody. The song won the grand prize at the European Festival "Eurovision" in 1962. And in 1963, received the English text and the second name - «I will follow him», it is becoming popular in the United States.
