ZedBazi was the first music-group in Iran to use explicit lyrics and 'strong' language in their music. They are credited with introducing Gangsta Rap to Iran; Graphic descriptions of sexual encounters, glamourizing the consumption of narcotics, and invitations to physical violence were not familiar topics to the Iranian listener. In early 2000's the group became the most talked about group among teenagers in Iran, whom had never heard this type language in persian music.
In 2007 the group became a household name with the release of their hit-single "Tabestoon Kootahe". After almost a 2-year hiatus, in early 2009 the group returned with the release of songs such as Zendegie Mane, Zamin Saafe.
In June of 2010 Zedbazi producers announced that the group will not release anymore songs. However after only 6 months of absence, "Mesle Man" Leaked online, the song became an instant hit, and eventually in March of 2011 the group officially announced their comeback with the release of "Pedare Man bad mano negah Mikone".
In November 2011 Zedbazi signed a deal to release their first Album under the label EMA, the album will mark the 10 year anniversary of Zedbazi's formation. However the group announced that Saman Wilson the co-founder of Zedbazi who has not participated in any of the songs since 2007 will not partake in the album due to personal decisions. In April 2012 Zedbazi announced that it will not release their album under the lable EMA and they will release it independently.
On June 4th 2012 Zedbazi finally released their long awaited first album "Zakhar Nameh". The album includes 10 tracks; 4 tracks produced by Alireza JJ (Khodesh Midoone Khoobe, Chera Badi?, Merci Kolli, Nakoni Bavar), and 6 tracks produced by Mehrad Hidden (Tehran Maale Mane, Nabayad Vaysim, Mahdekoodak, Cigare Soorati, Delam Tang Shode, Montazer boodan kaarie ke bazi vaghta pesara bara dokhtara mikonan). The album includes 3 guest artists; Hichkas, Behzad Leito and Arash Dara.
