Shook
Описание: Shook (real name Jasper Wijnands) is a Dutch producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer. Known for his multi-faceted synthesizer sound, and mysterious persona, he plies his trade the best way he knows how: by playing and creating music.
After releasing his first EP: "The Glow" in 2010, Shook burst into the electronic scene with incredibly well received remixes of Phoenix's "Lisztomania", Falullah's "I lay my head" and Ellie Goulding's "Lights", just to name a few. A year later he dropped his next EP: The Rise and Fall, which generated a lot of buzz with hits like "Picture Moment", "Hold Tight", and "Through the Fire". His self-titled debut album released last August, and is currently being listened to by thousands of fans around the globe.
The thing that separates Shook from a lot of other producers and DJ's, is his ability as a pure instrumentalist. A child prodigy, he started playing the piano at a young age, quickly developing a unique skill set blending Classical, Jazz, Soul and of course: Funk. After graduating the conservatory in Rotterdam, he almost immediately jumped into the French disco scene with a unique live set, combining original tracks with live symphonies, solo's and thumping bass-lines played on his synthesizer.
With the album picking up steam, the fan-base rapidly increasing and tours in the United States, Asia and Europe coming up, things are looking bright for the 26-year old musician. Also in the works is a brand new live set which features additional live instruments, namely (bass-)guitar and percussion, never taking focus off Shook's forté: the synthesizer.
